As the wholly-owned subsidiary of Hengjian Energy and Environmental Protection Group Co., Ltd., Shantou Hengjian Kechuang Biomass Power Generation Co., Ltd. was established in June 2009 and obtained the franchise rights for domestic waste incineration power plant (BOT) project in Shantou City (namely Shantou Leidashi Environmental Protection Power Plant Project) in the same year. The project has entered the trial operation phase in July 2018, with a total investment of RMB 592.49 million.

Basic information on the project:

Shantou Leidashi Environmental Protection Power Plant is located in Leidashi "Niangsankeng" Mountain, Tuolian Street, Jinping District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. The total coverage area is 86,588 square meters and the total building area is 28,942.3 square meters. The construction scale of the project is daily treatment of 1,200 tons of municipal solid waste per day and average annual generating capacity of 120 million KWH, including two mechanical grate incinerators for daily treatment of 600 tons, two 15mw steam turbine generators, two medium-temperature medium-pressure waste heat boilers, and two sets of flue gas purification treatment equipment and control equipment.

Introductions to the project process:

The Shantou Leilao Environmental Protection Power Plant project is a waste heat power generation project that uses waste incineration to turn waste into treasure. It is an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly project. The waste incineration of the project adopts the reciprocating mechanical grate process; the flue gas purification adopts the combined flue gas purification process; the waste heat recovery boiler adopts the medium temperature medium pressure boiler system; the fly ash adopts the chelating agent + cement stable solidification; the leachate treatment system treatment process is divided into Pretreatment system, UASB reactor, MBR system, NF/RO system and auxiliary engineering system, etc., the effluent water quality meets the A standard of the first-class standard in the Pollutant Discharge Standard of Urban Sewage Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002), after treatment The water is used in the circulating pool for production water; the burned slag is used for building raw materials after iron removal, sorting and crushing. Realize the realization of domestic garbage: harmless, reduced, and resourced.

Project environment: 

The power plant is located in Leidashi "Niangsankeng" Mountain, Shantou City, and is under the jurisdiction of Jinping District. The mountain is 2.5km from No. 206 National Highway. The cement road runs through the whole process with convenient transportation; there are Shantou University and Israel Institute of Technology in the vicinity of the National Highway. The corresponding urban light rail system is also under construction. The region is the science and education center to be built in Shantou.

Shantou Leidashi Environmental Protection Power Plant is an important part of Leidashi Ecological Environmental Protection Industrial Park. The industrial park is located in Leidashi Area, Tuolian Street, Jinping District and covers an area of about 720 mu. The total investment is about RMB 1.2 billion. The entire industrial park plays a key role in improving the investment environment and living environment and accomplishing the reduction of total pollutant emissions. It is a landmark project for environmental protection in Shantou City. It is of great practical significance to promote the sustainable development of economy, environment and society in the region.
